New ways to wake

Bad blogger, no posting!

I'm not sure how I fell into silence, but I did. Enough of that.

Laurier has found a new way to wake me up in the middle of the night. pawpawpaw*scrape* Er, huh? It's not the closet - I've got that blocked off. He's not wandering around on top of the bookshelves knocking things off - if it's going to fall off, by this point it already has. No, no, he's figured out how to open the drawers underneath my bed. And by the jingle of Hobbes' collar - hmm - feeling my toes out to the edge of the bed, there's no cats to kick off - yep, Hobbes is underneath, crawling around in the drawers and underneath the bed. Argh!

I thought I'd had access blocked, but now I'm just going to have to childproof the whole damn room anyway. And not just baby-proof - human babies are nowhere near as small and flexible as my problem children.

Affection

Now, Hobbes, as anyone who's met him knows, is an affectionate kitty. (Read: absolute slut) He's also a bit odd in that catnip does nothing for him.

However, I have found his catnip! Elizabeth Arden's Green Tea perfume. I sat down to scan my bookshelves for the daily bus-read, and he was immediately up in my lap, all hi-how-ya-doing to my wrists and neck. Ah! Attack of the Love Machine!
