Quote for the night

"An intelligent animal understands the certainty of his own eventual death. So it stands to reason his thought processes will be a bit - what's the word?
Weird, came the prompt reply."

From the new Belisarius book which I am even now devouring. Page 328.

Except - I pause here. What if the intelligent animal isn't so certain of his death - that there is a chance, however slim, that he will live forever? Heh. Methos?

I'm quite put out by Eric and David. Just... miffed!

Book number five? And they're still not finished with the series? They'd better not plan on pulling a Robert Jordan on me. I should become excessively not happy with that turn of events.

<chortle> As it is? I'm mostly upset that I've another year or six months or however long it will be until the next book in the series is published.
