Snowy night
Mar. 7th, 2002 10:24 pmThere's a tangle of dark branches screening the streetlight from my room. The glow is slightly orange, and muted more by the slowly falling snow. It's highlighting the branches, coating them with white, and so the sky looks brighter - every bit of light is caught and reflected back down and around, instead of escaping into the night.
I wish it were Friday, so that I could sit up and write, and that the guy had come to take a look at my car already, and I could be that much closer to being paid and able to look at the house account without cringing.
But it's Thursday, and not yet spring, what with the snow and all. I have half a mind to write winter a really scathing letter, and to give her just a few more weeks. Hey, heard of the Equinox lately? snort
I'll turn up the radiator a little and think warm thoughts tonight. For all the crap that arrived in the mail today, I have a feeling something good is around the corner.
