Day Five of the Hermitage
Mar. 24th, 2002 09:47 amLucy kicks so much ass it isn't funny. The House left me alone last night to go out for karaoke (Yay! House to myself!) and I took a lovely hothot bath. But by bedtime, I'd run out of my cough drops and... well, I ran out. Doom loomed upon the horizon.
Before they left (and she wouldn't let me have more than one cookie), I'd asked if they could maybe pick more up for me. I didn't expect it - it was just a favor, but she did - she brought me cough drops!
I drew a big heart down on the house whiteboard just for her. Maybe I should have done one for Lori too, since she was driving.
I don't feel better, per se, right now - my back got a little twisty achy from Civ3'ing yesterday, and I'm trying not to cough up a lung, but I don't feel as if my brain is swimming through warm molasses any more. I think that even if I'm still coughing and all that tomorrow, as long as my head's clear, I'll head into work and see if I can't get anything done.
I feel vaguely productive right now. I wonder how long that will last.
