Transient thoughts
Apr. 10th, 2002 04:37 pmI had an entry yesterday, but my computer crashed and ate it. slurp It wasn't finished anyway, and it was kind of whiny, so I'm not terribly hurt that it's gone.
I found a button this morning, by the bridge to the Medical Center.
I've been making a beaded belt - single strand, nothing fancy - in the late afternoon and early morning, when the light's in my room. Green beads with onyx rounds and malachite/lapis chips.
I've been neglecting my book and my email and listening to some acapella mp3s that ChrisB gave me months and months ago, and I'm kicking myself that I didn't listen to them before. Ray of Light and Mummer's Dance done acapella are really beautiful.
I didn't eat lunch, but took a walk in the grey, out under the Montlake Bridge and down by the University docks on Lake Washington. A mallard sassed me on the path, and a pair of geese scolded me as I meandered down the worn wooden docks.
The fake sun tattoo on my right shoulder is faded after a few days, but the cherry blossoms framing the kanji for transience is still very clear on my left shoulder.
Tomorrow I'll take a class on Filemaker and have an extra hour in the morning and afternoon that I don't have to be at work.
I almost thought the Library Sale was tomorrow, but it's not really Thursday. It is payday, though.
I need to find a good picture of Calvin to make into an icon. I should also warm up the scanner for a recent photo of me that looks halfway decent.
I can't write Nsync unless it's an AU, but boy, can I dream up the AUs.
I like the new webmail client for Drizzle. I may start checking my personal email from work again.
Amazon's fucked up my order, but it's nothing so important that I can be arsed to actually email them and gripe.
