I think I shouldn't have been quite so enthusiastic about paying down my credit card this month. Wednesday, I don't get paid until Monday, and have all of $15 in my wallet. Temporary destitution sucks, yo.

I just realized that when I head home for lunch and checks before I skip merrily off to the bank and the post office, I can put the chicken on for tacos for dinner tonight! Oh, I feel so clever. Plus, I can let Thor out for a brief tinkle.

Porridge for brains

Sometimes my memory's not what it should be. If I can remember the names of Henry VIII's wives and the manners of their deaths, surely I should be able to keep a few errands straight. But no - I was heading to the UDistrict for errands, and managed to leave the disk I'm supposed to mail at home. I'd specifically brought it this morning to work. I thought about tossing a couple of things in the fridge I knew were bad, but when I went down with the trash to let Thor out, they were still sitting there. I told one of my users I'd check on their network connection, and I keep looking at the hublet when I sit down, but can only seem to remember it when I'm on my way downstairs for another problem entirely.

Hey - can I get a refund on my brain? Is there a way I can just wipe and reload and maybe the bugs will go away?
