Tired. I've been humping computers and swapping drives and crap all day, and I've got one more box to strip and fill up. Ech. Doesn't help that all our counter/workspace has been invaded by a crapload of monitors we need to surplus, and I'm basically working on the floor.

Ow. And the sneezing should stop soon, too.

While I feel fully justified to read as much slash as humanly possible while at work, I also feel vaguely guilty on the rare occasion when I haven't finished all my tasks, and will thus stay a little late to finish them off. At the Foundation, I'd make them pay my overtime, but the University's not exactly flush right now, plus they actually pay me a decent wage.

Still, it's Arsenic Jade's fault that I was late home today, thus missing out on Calvin... again peeing on the couch. I called the vet, and I'll be taking him in tomorrow sometime.

Veggies! Monday is Market Basket Day, where I am provided with my new set of puzzles for the week: What the hell is this, and how do I fix it to make it edible? So:

Red Salad Onions - saving these for something requiring onions, which is anything, really.
Asparagus - just enough for a side dish, probably steamed.
Rhubarb - no farking clue.
Spinach - salad or only lightly sauteed
Green Leaf Lettuce - salad. Yay salad!
Baby Turnips - cut into quarters and roasted in the little toaster oven. Quite nummy.
Bok Choi - stir-fry. Probably tomorrow.
Strawberries - All gone! And I even shared - I feel so virtuous. (that and the pound of cherries I've been nibbling on all evening)
Fresh Thyme - Crap, now I need to make something that uses this. But what?

I really enjoy brainstorming on stories, especially if I don't have to write them, and thus, they get realized a hell of a lot quicker.
