11 Moves, 11 Years
Aug. 5th, 2002 10:59 pmI don't mean to be a gypsy, really I don't. It's just that I think that Fate has it in for me when it comes to hauling around my incredibly vast collection of books from home to home.
I'm amazed at how incredibly fast and incredibly easily this has gone. It was only yesterday that we were realizing that we couldn't quite count on Deb getting out here in September, or Gordon getting out of his lease, and wow, really, we have to have the notice to our landlord of our vacancy by the 10th. Eep!
15 minutes on the Internet, and a quick phone call to one guy who's having an open house, and we're looking at this cute little three bedroom place in Wallingford, incredibly convenient for the three of us, affordable and incrdibly - will accep the cats.
Lori faxed in the application this morning, and we got the guy's provisional ok this evening.
I'd be bitter about how easy this is, in comparison to last year, if it weren't... well. So damn easy.
We'll be hiring hefty guys to move the actual furniture, and spare our backs, and those of our friends, and the next few weeks will be incredibly hectic as we pack and sort and shove our lives into boxes.
But yeah. Overall? Easy.
