I'm home.

At least I think so. It's been a long day.

Dru and I were up early, because it snowed last night in Pagosa, and the drive to Albuquerque isn't exactly a short one. It was nice, though. Dru and I had a few nice conversations interspersed with periods of comfortable silence, and really clear, open roads the moment we hit the New Mexico border. Mom and Dad let us take the Jeep, and it can really go. Faster than Dru's Pimpmobile (as he's taken to calling it.)

So we got to the airport with more than enough time for my plane. Not quite two hours, but one and a bit isn't shabby. And then they oversold the plane.

What was I to do? I had no real pressing need to be in Seattle at a particular time, and $200 in airfare is nothing to sneeze at. (I've done this before, and the biggest drawback is finding the bloody voucher again!)

Well, they couldn't get me on another plane until 6, but hey, I had books, right? (I've finished Transparent Society by David Brin and Angry White Pajamas by Robert Twigger.) I've found that a willingness to wait and a smile makes airline employees effusively grateful. At least grateful enough to kick in dinner and pre-board status on top of the airfare - and those are worth a number of hours of waiting.

I've a number of journal entries I need to transcribe. Those, however, will wait until morning and work. Good night!
