(no subject)

I had a lovely walk/talk/coffee with Ali and Cinel yesterday morning. A gorgeous day (so bright I had to squint - I need to dig out my sunglasses more often) and made better by the company. I'm so glad Cinel's moved out to Seattle - we may even end up in some of the same classes at the U!

I made eggrolls for gaming night, but not until after I'd infected Ali with the same idea for the potluck party she was going to last night. She made the Philipino version, with raisins and garbonzo beans and tomatoes and groud beef - not quite my speed, but pretty good. I'm sticking with my cabbage, onions, bean sprouts and stuff. I made plain veggie ones for Gordon, and then chicken rolls and shrimp rolls for everyone else. We've still got a few leftover: lunch!

Gaming was eventful, as usual. Nearly got the collective party ass kicked by a group of giants but my character managed to emerge completely unscathed, by simply standing back and shooting them full of holes. We've been wandering around the backside of the North, carrying the Tear of Lolth, and there's a half a dozen baddies after us. Evil devil lords, fell creatures of the Underdark, bad-ass orcs looking for a challenge... So last night, after gaming was over? I dreamt that Britney Spears was one of the people after the Tear.

I'm still giving my subconscious funny looks.
