Cagey/Caged
Aug. 5th, 2003 12:09 pmI'm always a bit squirrelly about talking about things in progress, because I never know everything that's going on, and things change so quickly. I do bitch to those around me, and if you're near me, you will hear something of what's going on, but when it's all done and finished, I'm in a daze, and I don't want to think about it anymore. It's done, right? Time to move on.
This is still the tangled middle. I've been bouncing calls back and forth between me and my real estate agent, and me and the various entities of mortgage-type bank peoples. First it was the number of cats (Listing Agent said they were ok, but didn't mention that only one was accepted by the condo association: I lied and said Lori would take them if necessary), then it was the timeline (Internet apps weren't going to be able to close by the end of the month: switched to a local processing center), and the final news from the Seller's side of things is that they like my offer better because I asked for a super-quick closing, but they need at least the pre-approval (hence the mad scramble to find my paystubs, which I just 'happened' to have on hand)
And all this personal crap is smack dab in the middle of a security scramble, trying to clean up after the RPC vulnerability that we didn't patch in time led to 19 of our machines being hacked.
I'm going to scramble downstairs really quick to let MCIS deal with a few things down there, and then run to the IMA and let my mind rest while my muscles work.
