Sep. 22nd, 2003 09:05 amLovely, lovely morning. I woke up with enough time for a mug of tea while I waited for the sun to rise. The ride to work took only twenty minutes, and then I indulged and took a twenty minute shower. I managed to get a hot one, too, which proves that the water cools significantly by the time you get to the end of the line of showers - I'm usually down in the open area.
I was sort of disappointed by the Book Sale this weekend. I can usually find some recent sci-fi hardcovers, but all I found was Gibson's Pattern Recognition. I did get my share of paperbacks - a handful of British edition Pratchett in pristine condition, which was delightful.
The weekend was quiet and busy by turns - I got my share of sleeping in done, and unpacked my zines. Went out with Kasha Friday and Saturday night - Dru came with Saturday, and wowed everyone by both dressing up (long pants! and a nice shirt!) and dancing. Well, even. The music sucked Friday, but it was really good Saturday, up until the volume and my poor toesies started getting to me. Two hours is pretty much my limit, it seems.
Yesterday, when Kasha finally called me back after I'd woken up (and lost the wrestling match for possession of the computer), she and Lori decided to show up and force me to watch the American QaF. Oh darn. Dru played Pharoah, did laundry and snarked occasionally.
Oops - Bossman is back in the office after a week off. Time to pretend to work.
