Feb. 8th, 2004 10:27 pmDru left a bag of nachos on my couch on Monday. They're still there - I'm out of salsa and constitutionally incapable of putting them away myself.
I've just finished up Kasha's birthday present (just a day or two late, really. It'll be on it's way tomorrow, promise!) and Ali's is next, a little late for her birthday, but I won't see her until next weekend, so it wouldn't have gotten to her on time anyway. Just to make up, I'm contemplating Jacyn and Lori's presents now, months and months ahead of time. Go me!
I actually cleared all the finishing/staining detrius out of the dining room, and pushed the table up against the wall, so now it looks like I have actual space in there. And I can use the table space for projects now! And maybe, just maybe, eat a meal on my very own dining room table.
Nah. That's just too wacky.
Had a lovely two-hour tea and ice cream with Chris yesterday. Listened to him gush about his Val, and threatened him with, well, unspecified dire things if he ever decides that he wants to get back together with Kris again. Love them both dearly, and I hate what they do to each other in a relationship.
We talked and talked and talked some more, and it's really handy having online journals - catching up is more a matter of reminding and expanding than long-winded explanations. Plus, he's fun. I had a knit scarf I wanted to give him since he mentioned it back in December, and a handy little Vicky's Secret bag to put it in. The look on his face. Hee :) And every time he wants to change topics, he says 'How 'bout them Mariners.' I started going all dreamy and 'Mmm. Aubrey/Maturin.' Again with the glee.
I headed downtown after, and wandered into the Bon - I love their sales. Loveloveglee!love. A heap of socks and two pairs of very comfy tan pants for $30. I saw a couple of nice skirts, but since I never wear skirts to work (and hence, anywhere else) *and* I seem to have the perfect skirt in my head that never matches anything on the rack, I passed.
Missed the bus that would have let me stop by the library on my way to tea, so I'll wait to tomorrow to pick up more Aubrey/Maturin-theirloveissonaval - I'm up to seven by now. For bus fodder I'll keep with Judith Tarr for a couple of days yet. I've just restarted her Avaryan Rising series.
