Hi-Yaa!

3 1/2 hours turning compost is enough, dontcha think? Came home desperate for a shower, and couldn't quite decide if I wanted to go down to the IMA to shower or If I was up to dealing with the slow tub drain. Laziness won out, and I didn't really need to wash my hair. Got a bit of sun - my shoulders are all pink, and I have two white stripes from the bratop I was wearing. And a void where my braid was. I rescued three leeks from the compost pile - I'm going to chop their tops and dead roots off, stick them in water and if they survive, they go into the garden, if they don't, they get eaten.

Met a few new people, and we had fun uncovering worms. The rat wasn't so fun, but he took off running (bouncing?) at a good clip and gave us all a nice scare. I got to wield a pair of machetes and chop greens and weeds for the compost bins, but it wasn't as fun as it sounds: the machetes were all as dull as butter knives, and the greens really should have been chopped as they were tossed into the bins. Grr.

And now, we eat.

A little much with the sun

Just now home from gaming, where we dealt with a fallen angel and then the servants of the gods went 'Well. Oh. We didn't. Oh. We didn't expect that.'

There was a moment today at the P-Patch, we were just starting, and I made a comment about forgetting my sunscreen, and the lady next to me (whose name I of course can't remember.) said something about the April sun being less severe.

Hah! That's not what my shoulders are saying! I've slathered on the aloe, and there's this one patch right under my shoulder blades... Ah well, it's the tops of my shoulders and arms that I *can* reach that hurt the most. Serves me right for being stupid, really. The braid stripe down my back is still amusing.
