Waiting for the bus
Jul. 24th, 2004 10:03 amTime to hit up the farmer's market and see what foods I can buy that do not require cooking. Carrots. Gotta love carrots. Must plant more carrots next year. And if the cukes and tomatoes have hit the market, I'm set for gazpacho.
Man, it's not even 10am, and its already nearly 80. Oi. I'm tempted to soak a padded bra in water and stick it in the freezer. That would be fun.
Sun tea is in the window, but I need to clean out my other pitcher, so I can have one steeping and one cooling.
Laurier wants to cuddle. Big, heavy, massively furred Laurier. Poor baby. I should shave him. He'd look funny AND be cooler! Whee!
All in all, my condo's not bad in the heat. Between the bushes and being 3 feet into the ground, I get little direct sun on my walls and windows, and my only real concern about leaving the windows open is that the cats might push the screens out.
Bus time! Bye!
