I spent the entirely of my Saturday away from home. Meg woke me up with a phone call (expected - and it rocketed me out of bed like I ... planned - yeah, that's the ticket.) Missed the actual call - I've switched to voice mail, so I can scrap the answering machine that's hanging out on my counter. Meg then called my cell, which was still off from seeing the Incredibles Friday night. Made me set up the voice mail appropriately (after a week. Oops.)

Packed up a change of clothes and voom! Off to Queen Anne. Meg treated me to tea and scones for breakfast and then we set to digging up her garden with a will. Bulbs a plenty, daylilies galore, her hebe that had been planted by the landlord just the week before (don't *think* so!) It sprinkled a bit on us, but it wasn't really wet. 75% done by the end of the day (to say nothing of the moving next weekend) and we wound down with a spot of chinese food and Drawn Together. *snerk* "Octopussoir"

Then John and I were off to gaming (hence the change of clothes - muddy jeans? Not comfy for couch sprawling)

Yesterday I spent the morning on City of Heroes, aborted the attempt to do laundry, and spent the afternoon in my p-patch. Planted the garlic that should have been in the ground a month ago and some spinach. I'm slowly morphing the beds into more manageable sizes: the central bed is way too big, and since I've got mostly bare dirt right now, I can plan ahead. I'm thinking of sticking an artichoke in one corner: nice, big and I can just mulch around it (it's in the least weeded corner.)

This week I get to squish all my work into 3 days. Mmmm. Long weekend. I *should* spend a good bit of time tossing some of the detritus Mom left into my storage area, but I'll do a wee bit more digging in the p-patch (whichever day seems clearest) and help Meg move her plants if she's at that stage; and of course, there's always City of Heroes.

Gordon's trying to tempt me into World of Warcraft... I don't know. Their elves have weird ears. And the women bounce. I may just have to play male humans (Mmm... half-naked barbarians...) to keep it, uh, fair.
