Sockpuppets 4 teh Win!

My department might have thought the IT division was a little strange before. Now they have proof that we're quite deranged.
My sub-boss and I ran ourselves around like giggling maniacs all Tuesday and Wednesday, got all the footage we needed, and he had it edited down by Wednesday night. (He then spent the entire evening editing another group's project, but they didn't have sockpuppets, so it wasn't nearly as much fun as it could have been.)
Thursday morning we had our premiere at our department's staff fair - The major divisions all had fairly professional posterboard presentations, and the Finance and Fee Coordinator-type people did up little game-show style things. We (being IT) upstaged them all. We had a single 19" monitor hooked up to a laptop, and when the video started playing, 90% of the room got sucked over to watch and listen to our silliness.
I had fortunately hit the croissants earlier, as I was giggling pretty hard most of the rest of the morning. I had so much fun putting it all together, and watching it, and then everyone kept coming up and lavishing me with the puppet love. *sigh* Good times. Three other divisions tied for Most Informative, but we had Most Entertaining nailed. (The Department's paying for a swank party for us as a prize)
I got squat done work-wise this week (and I'm off today to do errand-y-bits) but this was the most fun I've ever had at work. Ever. If/when I decide to job-hunt again, the ability to take sockpuppets in stride is a must.
