Small joys

There's a newish assistant from South Carolina whose computer I was playing with today. We're mostly an Outlook Express shop, but she requested Thunderbird, and while we as a department don't officially support it, I'm happy to install away. She was so enthusiastic about it (and Now Up To Date, which has gotten funny looks from some other Windows users I don't like nearly so much as her) that while she had a list of things she still needs, she's also declared me her favorite, so that list'll get done sooner than not.

Dru is off to meet his gf's extended family for Thanksgiving, and I've borrowed his car for the long weekend. The last time I did was over a year and a half ago, the brakes failed and I totaled his car. Which - ohoh! I'm not being sued anymore! The guy I hit and his girlfriend were about to give their depositions, and their lawyer called mine and capitulated. I'm off the hook! Go me!

He's told me to take it for a long drive, and I'm planning all the frivilous errands I always put off... I feel some Lush coming on - though should I go auburn or try to bring out the blonde again...
