Sufficient
May. 1st, 2006 12:04 amWell, I didn't get all my books packed - just a thousand or so. I quit midway through Saturday because the rain knocked my connection all to hell, and when it takes 5 min for Delicious LIbrary to do a single book lookup? It's time to sit down and read one of those books instead.
I've got most of the non-fiction to pack away, but now I have room in my condo's storage area, and in a couple or three of weeks, I'll shanghai Dru and take a stack or five of books down to the pod place and sort things out a bit more.
Today was nice, a few morning hours in WoW, a few afternoon hours in my p-patch. I put in the soaker hoses I bought last week and piled on the compost topsoil. One of these days I'll have real raised beds instead of just sloping piles of dirt, but they work for the nonce. I harvested a bunch of the leeks that overwintered and made up a batch of potato-leek soup. Very nummy. If I had a pressure cooker, I'd be tempted to can it, but that's also something that needs to wait for a house (or failing that, an extra-dimensional pantry hiding behind a cabinet door.)
