59 pounds of asparagus and 20-some quarts later (plus a gallon or two of pee... I mean, asparagus stock) and we're done, jars pinging in a corner. And it's only 9:30 - there's still light in the sky! How odd. We've got the routine down though, and this year Meg laid in supplies the day before (although, we still have 3 boxes of salt, a couple gallons of vinegar and two jars of pickling spice) and we didn't even have to send John out for anything.
