So Saturday morning I was all geared up to go out and do errands, but #1 on my list was to go fix my iPod, and, well...
My cat eats earbuds. So last week, I'd put it away out of his reach. Unfortunately, that place was in my gym bag. Which was still at work. In the area I can't get to on weekends.
So instead I hermitted. Too hot to go outside for anything. Hermit. Hermit.
Sunday I got busy though - up at 6ish and out into my garden for a good two hours. My first cabbage head - purple coleslaw is in my future - and it's a cold dish, too, so yay! Then I crawled back inside and took a nice, cold shower. It was steamy at the early hours!
That afternoon I ventured out into the heat and braved the bus to get to Fremont to see a guy about a car. We swapped title for check this afternoon, and the lovely little 98 Subaru Forester is waiting to take me home. Initial price aside, insurance alone is more than I've paid for Flexcar on a monthly basis, which hits the pocketbook hard. But there's a freedom to owning a car that simply isn't met by car share. High on the list is that I won't need to beg rides to Burien anymore.
