The sky is falling!

Well, I was going to complain about my bathroom ceiling, but my timing seems appropriate - the sky just turned dark, lightning flashed and thunder rolled like a mile-long freight train. It's... just turned from rain to hail. Yikes!

And suddenly the slow leak from the upstair's neighbor's toilet seems somewhat insignificant. (Which it is, really.) I woke to the drip-drip on Saturday morning, and alerted the manager and the tenant upstairs (who in turn contacted the unit-owner) and this morning I stayed home for the plumber to come in, say 'yep, it's the toilet' and go back upstairs to fix it.

He punched a hole in my ceiling - the blister of saggy paint (apparently it's very good paint) concealed a thoroughly disintegrated bit of wallboard, and he pulled it all out and a bit of insulation to let it dry, and next week I'll get the hole filled. I should decide between now and then if I want to continue with the color scheme or go with something else. Maybe bright cheery yellow?

And back to drenching rain outside.
