I spent my Thanksgiving at my parents' house in Albuquerque. I'd been expecting cold and a whole lot of wind (as it had been the previous winter) but it was sunny and clear the entire time. Dru, Dad and I went for a walk in the hills behind their neighborhood on Saturday, and hour of talking (not a typo!) through scrub brush and cactus and sun, and I got a bit of a tan even!
So of course the moment I get back to Seattle it's snowing. The wettest month on record or something silly like that, and now we've got snow. UW Tacoma and Bothell are closed, but the main campus is not, and I need to hunt up the winter coat liner, my gloves and a hat before I brave the 25 degrees (-4 for you Celcius peoples) chill. Today is a jeans day, no question. And I think I can be excused skipping my NIA class tonight.
