Fear of mortality
Sep. 5th, 2005 08:59 amSo I dreamt I had cancer.
Which was sort of scary in and of itself, but then it got odder: I was being treated by one of our Vascular surgeons, who lifted a 1" square flap of skin off my scalp to sort of peer inside. My boss comes into the room as the doc is stitching my head back up, just to check up on me, and I assure him I'm mostly fine, and I'll be back to work the next day. Don't say a damn word about the cancer.
Then another of our surgeons, someone fairly high maintenance, comes in and startsaskingdemanding of me - me, with my brand new stitches and hospital gown and definitely not working at that very moment! Hello! I have an unknown thing in my head - piss off!
I managed to mutate the dream into more of a 'Hey, you have a thing in your head - we need you at Stargate Command!' so the morning wasn't entirely wasted.
