To move or not to move, that is the question.
whether tis nobler to stick with the job I love and the housing market beyond my means
or to uproot completely and seek greener pastures (an actual yard!) in some other town?

I've been wrestling with this for more than a year. I've got too many books and hobbies to fit comfortably into my wee baby condo, and while I adore my job and my boss, I've hit my ceiling for advancement. I need to specialize (I have the most generalized skill set at work) and while I've found the programs I'd like to try, they require at least 2-3 years more in place. Which I don't think I can manage where I live now. I'd go spare.

Austin popped up on my radar a year ago, and I'm still exploring possibilities there. I applied for a job at NCSoft (makers of City of Heroes) on Friday (and even if I don't get it, writing the app letter was worth the time. I still giggle.)

I keep looking at Seattle real estate, and this weekend I looked at a possibility in my price range. Unfortunately, while it's a nice neighborhood with a decent commute, the house is a 30-yr old manufactured home, and it's showing its age. It's not old enough to be quaint, but just old enough to be vile. I'm still wondering if I could live in it. All the value's in the land, and I don't quite have enough to put a new structure on the lot.

And Dad's in town today, so in addition to wrestling with that mess, I had to CLEAN! I meant to do a lot on Saturday, but I was in a moderately vile mood, so I WoWed and procrastinated and didn't eat right (which meant by dinnertime I had the hungry-cranky headache going on and there was nothing to eat in the cupboards!) So Sunday was crunch time, and I wasn't going to even log on, until Dru called and wanted my help questing his last level, and then I jumped into a Steamvaults run and was almost late seeing the house.

I did get a lot accomplished last night once I got home again, and once again came to the conclusion that I need to shave my cat to save myself some vaccuuming. That or less carpet.
