I have a cat who.. cats
Oct. 28th, 2019 08:00 pmMy fifth cat, and I finally have an asshole who knocks things off places to get my attention.
My first three were free-feeders, so food happened when they were hungry, and attention was available any time I sat down to play computer games, read, or stopped for 10 seconds after coming in the door. Now, though, now Mocha is on a DIET. He's a wee bit overweight, and his house-sibling has her own protected feeding station (operates off the chip in her back, it's SO NEAT.) and he gets fed twice a day.
One of those times is in the morning. So sleeping in is not an option for me, according to the Rule of Cat. To enforce this, Mocha gets up on my dresser next to my bed and finds things to knock off. It's been my watch, my headband, sometimes my jewelry (and boy does that piss me off, but then I figured him out and hid them) I'm almost to the point of giving him things to knock off and just ignoring them, but then I thought of all the dishes I leave on the counter sometimes, and yeah... let's not have him escalate.
In Summary: cats are assholes. But adorable assholes, so eh.
