Lies, damn lies, and Republicans

I'd checked out Al Franken's book a couple of weeks ago, and it's due back last Saturday. I'm not finished yet, and I don't think I can. It's an immensely valuable book, and yet, I can't finish the damn thing because it pisses me the hell off. The rank hypocrisy practiced by the Right in this country starts it off, and it just balloons from there. I get more than half a chapter read, and I have to put it down.

I don't know if I'll ever finish it, either.

I own the book...

And I'm glad I bought it, because I don't think I'll ever finish the book either. Too angry by half, with no way of constructively focusing it.

I had the same problem reading Molly Ivins' newest, about how what Bush is doing in office was predicted by what he did in Texas. I just couldn't finish it.

Amen. I got around halfway through and could not pick it back up for love or money...

And I agree with him wholeheartedly but... damn!

BTW, I recommend From Hanging Chad to Baghdad a collection of editorial cartoons by David Horsey, over at the P-I... distressing and funny as hell.

And in the library :)
