Cunning corsetry

Part of my wee little brain was running in circles today panicking. I'd ordered a pair of custom-made corsets two months ago, and since they take 6-8 weeks to make, I didn't start worrying about them until just lately. So I fired off an email yesterday - hey, it's been a while, where's my shiny?

Oh, it shipped - here's the tracking number.

...arrived two weeks ago.

paniclostpanicwtfpanic!

Confirmed that yes, two weeks ago, yes, correct address via email, and kept stomping on the panic until I got home and lo and behold, there was the package, waiting in the manager's office for the past two weeks.

Gah. I'd forgotten what a fucking PITA it is to lace these things up. And then I get the added contortionist fun of doing it myself. Cross-gartering helps and hinders: it's not going to slip out, but tightening it up is difficult - am I pulling on the right string here?

They're comfortable, though, which may be surprising (or not. Whatever.) I tend not to tightlace - I wear them to feel sexy and to help my posture - I'm much less likely to slump if I've got steel boning wrapped around my middle.

Ooh. So, do they ship overseas? I have fancied a decent corsetry thing for ages - like you, not to tightlace but to feel good. And the ones that are off the shelf just do *not* fit - tends to be *me* holding *it* up rather than the other way round.

So, not wishing to pry, but are they hideously expensive? And/or were these ones worth it?
