mishadayJust finished the latest Mercedes Lackey: Serpent's Shadow - the cleverest retelling of Snow White and the Seven Dwarves as I've ever seen. I've always loved fairy tales, and anytime I see a classic tale like this updated (all the way to Imperial Britain), it's a thrill.
Of course, that's why I do my fractured fairy tales, of course. And that Sleeping Beauty thing, which is limping along. Eh. I can't do internal meandering for more than a page before I get bored.
But anyway...
I splurged tonight - besides the book purchase, of course, (from Amazon, earlier in the week) which arrived on my doorstep mere moments after I called for the pizza. A bit sudden, but the pizza came in 20 minutes, not the 45-50 they were promising, so everything was good. And I have to remember - JetCity is good pizza, not that flat tasteless crap Pagliacci's sends out. Ick.
I don't know if I'll show up to Bindlechat tonight - I'm feeling a little worn around the edges, and I've got to beat my laptop around the head and shoulders until it connects to the Internet again. I can get at my mail, but it's so bloody annoying not to have everything downloaded and waiting in the correct folders for me to read or delete or ignore for another day.
