Let's see if the computer manages not to die during this attempt at a journal entry.

See, there's a little bit of sun outside right now, that's slowly crept its way down my back fence into the little postage stamp of grass that I've dubbed 'the backyard.' At just about noon, it's be perfect, illuminating all of the grass area, and I don (or rather, strip down to) a bikini and try and capture as much of the light for as long as it lasts (which may be until around 5, and it may end a whole lot sooner)

Well, that's the ideal. I was out there for perhaps an hour, so now I'm just on this side of overheated, and the neighbors came out for a little picnic, and the big black Lab is visiting, so I've shooed the cats inside for a bit.

It's at most 75 degrees outside, but I've spent most of that in the sun, laying down and givin' Apollo his due. It finally got to the point where I was sweating, and oh, that's just lovely. I'm actually coming in before the last of the light leaves the yard.

My laptop's acting wiggy. I thought I'd install 9.1, and iTunes, and maybe get some of my mp3s into some sort of order so I could listen to them on the walk to work. But noooo. Friday it tried to tell me its 10/100 port is dead (it lied) and now when I'm trying to boot off a CD, it's giving me big address errors and some shit about booting with extensions off. Liar. It may have been the USB CD that was plugged in, since now it wants to work... we'll see.

9.1 is not installing. Rotten camel felcher. Something about one of the files being wrong. Which is crap, 'cause I downloaded the thing from the apple website. Twice. <sigh> I suppose I'll need to snitch the OS CD from work and see if that'll work. iTunes installed fine, but I need 9.1 to get it to work with the CD writer. Oh, alas, the trials of a geek.

I'm not watching XFiles tonight, Krycek or no. I've seen the spoilers, and I'd much rather take a cruise down a certain river.

Well, either that or start writing Krycek res-fic.

Well, the first and most obvious is Krycek as Immortal. One arm or no, he'll kick ass and take names (and heads)
#2 - it was a clone (or something like that) that was killed - there are any number of places where you can spirit Krycek off and replace him with a clone, only to have him reappear miraculously.
#3 - Black magic (or white) - a trip down memory lane, or the Styx or some mystical journey to reclaim him.
#4 - Dreamsville. C'mon - Mulder getting abducted? It's practically a wet dream for him.

And then of course, there's the AU rattling around in my skull. The one where Krycek is really a prince descended from the previous dynasty, and hiding in a temple, Scully is the oracle of that temple, and Mulder and Skinner (a one-armed Skinner) are assigned to protect her.

Right. Time to go to bed.
