House Virgule
Aug. 2nd, 2001 04:51 pmThat's what I've been calling it, and I'm hoping it'll stick. I'm all proprietary now, it's mineminemine and I'm proud that this is happening. It's still morphing and turning funny colors, and not being what I didn't expect to begin with - if you have no expectations, you're just continually surprised.
What? Details? Picky, picky... sheesh.
So. I found this house. I got it off the renttech.com site that I finally signed up for, and the more I looked at the listing, the more I got interested. It was at the top end of my price range, but it was big, damn big, so I finally got to take a look at the house. It scares me that it's only been three days, and time's pretending to be one of the Blue Angels streaking through the Seattle skies, but hey, that was last month, this is August, this is deadline time, people! Let's get to it!
I saw the house, and lo, the house looked good. It's just damnsexyfine, really. Huge. Mansion-y. Next Tuesday I'll take lots of pictures and measure rooms and draw up plans and pick which room I want ('cause, y'know, hot shit house hunters like me get the real perks). We're up to five people and three cats (4 tvs, 6 vcrs and 1 dvd player), but I need one more roommate to really make it all come together.
So, Lucy and Lori, and Alice and me, and John, our token male (the cats don't count - they're neutered.) And mysterio #6. I'm wondering where I can find mysterio #6, but a little more about actually talking to my current roomie and my landlady and getting my moveout date finalized.
Oh, and there's the small task of packing and moving hovering on my to-do list as well.
So the whole thing is driving me batty and giving me stress-hiccup fits (three today so far. <grr>), and since the lease isn't done and signed and locked up, I'm standing on shaky ground: it's a huge, giant thanksgiving turkey with all the trimmings, glistening and steaming hot, but I'm just dreaming and about to wake up.
Whatever you do - Don't Pinch Me!
