Another happy day
Nov. 7th, 2001 04:02 pmSo I woke up sore and bruised this morning from practice last night. Eh. Moving along...
Called Mom back today and talked for an hour, per our usual. I felt a little awkward talking to her with the boss-man roaming in and out of our cubicle area, but not enough to stop. She's my Mom, after all.
Dad's coming home from Bonaire tonight, and things are looking better and better for them business-wise. They may even have an excuse to stay in Kansas, though, selfishly, I'd rather he get the airplane job that'd make him move closer. Still, what makes them secure is better, and I can love them just as much from a distance as from a few miles away.
Lunch today was sunny and perfect - there's this one room tucked out one end of the South Campus Center that has this big, beautiful windows, and when it's sunny, it just heats up like a greenhouse in there. So you're sitting there, filling up your belly, basking in the sun while it glitters off the bay... Perfect.
And tonight? Buffy and crochetting and painting my nails and maybe a little Civ3.
