The Olympic torch just jogged by about an hour ago. Pretty fire...
Well, no, I didn't go outside. It's bloody cold out there, and I could see it just fine from my window.
Ups and downs today - I'm sick, which is one big ole heap of down - kinda flattens me to the ground and makes me cry for my bankie and a nap in the middle of the day. One more excuse to be spacey and read fic (not that I need excuses, but they're handy in a pinch when the boss asks me about .wab files.) Good fic - up. Water shut off notice - down. Rat-buggerer of a landlord hasn't been paying the water bill. Olympic torch - up. Long distance still not working - down. Calling my parents anyway - up.
And of course, Pratchett. I thought Puppy-fans might get a kick out of this quote from Soul Music:
"There is something very sad about an empty dressing room. It's like a discarded pair of underpants, which it resembles in a number of respects. It's seen a lot of activity. It may even have witnessed excitement and a whole gamut of human passions. And now there's nothing much left but a faint smell."
