Hard Hat Warning
Apr. 28th, 2002 05:34 pmYesterday was a cool day - misty morning followed by a bright but brisk afternoon. I made dinner - flank steak, marinaded and broiled, zucchini, and some experimental pasta. The pasta will not be repeated. But I got to use my Cuisinart and it went choppy-chop!
I'm chomping at the bit, waiting for the farmer's market season to start. I could just go on down to the Market downtown, but I'm lazy - I want my market up in the U, where it's walkable.
But yesterday was lazy and cool and I didn't really feel like getting anything done.
Today though. Ali and I got up earlyish (read: before noon) and picked up my Flexcar pickup and made it to Ikea five minutes before they opened. They were out of the drawers I wanted, but that just made it easier on my pocketbook, and several units of Ivar later (plus a new cutting board and a shoe rack for the entry-way) later, we headed on out. Forty-five minutes in the store, and that's with both of us sort of meandering. Must be a new record. *g*
So we have the shoe thing, and lots of shelves and a sort-of-vanity-thing for the bathrooms (to get our shit off the floor and out of random tubs), and a letter sorter for the entry desk for our mail, and set of file boxes so I can go through the random boxes that have been littering my hallway for six months.
I'm feeling organized. It's sunny, and warm and we had an awesome lunch in the sun at BluWater Bistro, and I'm kicking some ass. Clutter, here I come!
