Folk Life

I'm glad that Ali and I got stuff done yesterday: cardboard dumped, cat food, groceries; today I am totally wiped. Weird ass dreams, crampy morning, the desire to nap while remaining wide awake... Ick. Gordon and I did go down to the Folk Life Festival, and I got some pretty clothes from Endless Knot, same as last year. I want to go back, and have it be sunny and gorgeous, and have enough energy to really wander the crowds and go to the dancing thing - they have salsa tonight, and swing on Monday I think.

I keep forgetting Monday's a holiday.

The landlord's an ass, nothing new there. He emailed me yesterday to see if he could come by today to fix things - I called him back last night to say ok, and I haven't heard from him. He doesn't even give us 24 hours notice, and then doesn't show when I say it's ok. Fucker.

I just went downstairs to start the steak marinating for tonight's dinner, and the onions were bad. My motivation just died right there. I hope a nap will help fix that.

Someone tell me why a group of slashers and random parents with small children would sit around watching Charles Barkley palm elephants in tupperware, and I'll make dinner. I'm sort of freaked by my dreams now, and my hips hurt from sleeping all curled up.

I need to post this to PNIS and the Portland slasher list, but I'm being lazy, and that requires actually firing up the email client.

Men With Brooms is playing Friday, June 7th at 7pm at the Harvard Exit. (807 E Roy St.) It's just a couple blocks from where Broadway becomes 10th, so the 7 should take us right there.

I figure it's a good excuse for a sleepover.

Except... Oh fuck. It's sold out.

I'll check the box office tomorrow.
