My aloe plant has so far survived two attempts to kill it recently: sunburn from the window - it's back to speckled green now, instead of that sickly brown; and cat - Laurier started nibbling on the edges, and it's now up out of his reach. Amazingly, it looks healthy.

I should be leaving now, but it took me an hour of ignoring my alarm to get out of bed this morning. One bonus/drawback to having my alarm go off at 6, is that I can sleep in a whole extra hour and still make it to work on time. It doesn't often happen, because I usually use that extra hour or half-hour to read email and catch up on my friends list. And I still want to, even when I'm a slacker and shaking off weird dreams.

Morphing houses, random roommates, some of whom I've never met, an Air Force hanger in the basement/garage, and large, shiny washing machines. Lots of chrome.

Self: don't forget to come home for lunch and clean the couch.

Done now!

The spaghetti sauce is in the crockpot, ready to simmer away for a good six hours. I like making things right, even if I do have to scamper fast for a real lunch right now. That actually didn't take too long, most of which was occupied by defrosting the meat.

But I also finished cleaning the couch cushions, which I should have done last night, but didn't. The oxyclean stuff seems to work better than the solution they provided with the gizmo, so with luck, my couch will no longer smell like dog pee. Just in time for guests - yay!

But. Tired now. I'd really like to curl up for a nap instead of fucking around with the database like I should.

Self: If you finish it today, you can play hooky on Monday.
