Recovered over the weekend
Jun. 9th, 2002 09:47 pmFriday, hell, Thursday, I was well and ready to take myself a three-day weekend - call in Monday and make it a mental health day.
Today, though. I finished Partners in Necessity. I went to the University Market, 1/2 Price Books and Trader Joe's, where I purchased pluots, books for my brother, and pickled asparagus. I did a single load of laundry, painted my toenails and braided my hair up. I didn't get anything really useful accomplished - ignored the rampant weeds in the garden, repiled a few things on my floor, and passed Petco not once but twice - I'm not about to lug kitty litter on the bus, after all. I'd feel bad about that, but I got over it too quickly. Lazy weekends are more than my perogative.
I get paid tomorrow, so I've assigned tomorrow (and maybe Tuesday) as my day for useful bill-paying things. Plus, I need to mail things to Dru and get stamps. Alas, no slacking for me tomorrow.
Still, it's nice to know that I don't need it.
