Chillin in the House of Contagion
Dec. 3rd, 2002 02:09 pmLast day at home, I think. I'm not completely well, but I'm no longer hacking like I've got a pack-a-day habit, nor is my nose running like the Alaska Pipeline.
The rabid squirrel got out this morning when I got up to let Calvin out. I left her out for a couple of hours (I'm no longer worried that she'll go farther than the neighbor's roof) and when I went to let her back in, she trotted right up to the door instead of running like a sprinter going for the gold.
And then! Wonder of wonders, she practically begged to be petted. Classic attempts to trip me, and then she hopped onto my lap while I was at the computer. It's amazing how much lighter she is than Laurier, despite her rather rotund silhouette and her tendency to waddle like a little bear. And so calm! I'm starting to think that we might want to let her out a little more often to get the vicious wigglies out.
