Personal Correspondence
Dec. 11th, 2002 10:31 amDru's been emailing me daily since he got back. They've got a time-stamp of 4am, and I'm not quite sure if it's adjusted for time zone or not. He's been having just a wee bit of trouble sleeping, but I imagine that the jet lag will wear off eventually.
I asked him what he wanted for Christmas, and it occurs to me that I'm not exactly an easy person to shop for - the obvious present, books, could backfire, since chances are more than likely that I've got the book already. There are, however, a few books on my wishlist at which my relations might look askance. (Yes, I *have* been reading Austen lately.) My own parents have long been inured to certain (read: slashy) literary tendencies, but letting my grandparents come upon the rec for guides to anal sex might rather deprive me of grandparents all untimely. No, perhaps a sanitized version might be a good idea for the family.
I'm in a flurry of letters - to the cousins, and Mike and Jen, whom I've neglected shamefully. And while I'm in a flurry of writing, I've got to remember to finish my re-app to the iSchool. I'd have to kick myself to the Antarctic and back if I forget this year.
