Jan. 31st, 2003 09:14 am1. As a child, who was your favorite superhero/heroine? Why?
You know - I can't really remember. I didn't get into superhero comics until college, the Saturday morning cartoons notwithstanding. Probably Nightfall of Elfquest and She-ra would be battling it out for the top spot.
2. What was one thing you always wanted as a child but never got?
A pony?
I was pretty much indulged as a child. I read a lot "", and Mom was thrilled to have such an easy time of keeping me occupied. We'd hit the bookstore every Sunday like clockwork: donuts, church, lunch, bookstore, and more often than not, I'd come away with a new read.
3. What's the furthest from home you've been?
Geographic distance from my birthplace: toss-up between Orlando, Florida and Anchorage, Alaska. Both were vacations.
California's not my home anymore though. I've moved so many times; it's impossible to always be looking backwards. Seattle is home now.
4. What's one thing you've always wanted to learn but haven't yet?
The biggest one on the to-do list right now is ballroom dancing - swing, waltz, that sort of thing. I would have signed up for a class, but it conflicted with belly-dancing.
#2 is water-skiing.
5. What are your plans for the weekend?
Sleep, sourdough experiments, gaming, laundry, making inroads in the piles of paper that have accumulated, and maybe some more book shelving, and cleaning up the living room.
