The haul was indeed, excellent. For once I arrived after Mike, just a little after 5. The weather had brightened up amazingly, so people were out in force - the line hit the end of the building not long after I got there.

I had a quota of 75 books to fill, and I 'only' bought 56. 22 in Better Books, most of which were new hardbacks that I'd been looking at, but was wincing at the $25 price tag new. $3-4 is much more my speed. A couple of Pratchetts, a few Brins, four Evanovichs, Brust's latest, a few new SF authors, two nice Sherlock Holmes volumes, a PHP manual... I may do a complete list later, but bed is beckoning.

I had barely enough time to scoot home (thanks to Kris) before Lori, Lucy and I headed out to Ozzies (with a stop at McDonalds to stop my stomach from crawling out my spine) for KARAOKE! Woo!

Hee. John got sloshed, and Lucy got muy applause, and Chris B even showed up, and I played designated driver at the end of the night.

Oh - another highlight - I got to talk sci-fi with this cute guy behind me in the cashier's line at the Sale. I pimped Bujold, he pushed Martin, we both had given up on Jordan for not bloody finishing, it was all good.
