Sick Kitten update

Kidney stones.

There's some mineral residue in his kidneys (about the only thing in his body right now) and she's giving him some painkillers and fluids to help him pass the kidney stones. Water only until tomorrow night (which means I feed the others separately and listen to them whine a lot.)

I'm not sure that's what's up with his weight, but I'll take their urine sample into my regular vet tomorrow to have them test for a kidney infection. I'll be fetching Hobbes back from the clinic tonight. I'm really glad we're practically next door to an emergency clinic.

Just sent an email to work telling them I won't be coming in tomorrow (today?) morning.

Hrm. The vet doesn't have an appointment open until tomorrow at 11:30.

I've thought of going into work for the afternoon, since I've caught up on my sleep, but Hobbes is in my lap and he won't eat, save when I smear his whiskers with the food. I haven't seen him drink yet this morning, either.

So, still worried.

Eat! Eat! You're too skinny!

I think I need to do a fat transplant from Callie to Hobbes. Still, he's eaten something, finally. I skipped belly dancing tonight to make sure he got something down, and he's visited the litterbox, so things are looking up a bit.

The vet visit tomorrow is still on, and I intend to keep an eagle eye on him until he's back up to weight.
