Apr. 15th, 2003 08:44 amSo I found my W-2s on the floor this morning, hiding with the Small Claims Court stuff I'd printed out when we were thinking of suing Chuckles the Slum Lord.
Huh. I'm a little sheepish, but taxes are done, and that's the important part.
I was reading Three in Love some more this morning, and I'm in the middle of the Victorian era, in which threesomes and affairs and mistresses abounded, so long as it was all discreet. Given the social facade and the social reality, I'm sort of bugged by all those slash AUs where the characters don't even consider taking a wife and then just ignoring her while carrying on their torrid affair. To be sure, it's completely hypocritical and unfair to the wife, but it's pretty damn normal.
I wish I could think of an example, but I've got one of those pesky meeting things in ten minutes.
