Physical health is important, too
May. 7th, 2003 12:10 pmAfter dinner and drinks with Kasha last night, I'd all but decided to go into work today. It's my two-year work anniversary (two whole years! I'm so proud of me) and it just didn't feel appropriate to skip it.
And then I woke up this morning stuffed up, headachy and crampy, said fuck it, called in, and attempted to sleep in until noon. I gave up around 10:30, but the effort was made. I've got two weeks of sick leave - I'm tempted to stay home tomorrow as well. So unmotivated (also, I don't have jack to do at work.)
Kasha and I went to Red Mill burgers last night for dinner. She was in a red meat sort of mood, and I'd just hit that point at noon. The burgers there are soooo good. One of these days I'll drag Lori and Jenny back there, and it won't be a Monday (on which day they are closed) After gorging ourselves on hot bloody cow flesh, we headed to Des Amis, and they handed out metal platters of refrigerator magnet words with the drinks.
I'd left my notebook in the car, but after I stole her napkin, Kasha handed me a Hallmark bag on which to record them for posterity. So, here posterity:
( Kasha's poetry )
( And my haiku )
( And when I used just the words on the plate )
