Oops. Totally forgot about our little noontime potluck here at work until yesterday.

Then I totally forgot that I have my weightlifting class today. Double oops. I've got twenty minutes left, and I could show up, but I'd have to bike over, and change, and wow am I full. So no. I'll email the instructor to see what I missed.

People are really digging my tzatziki and pitas. Hee. I'm glad. It's such a good/good for you snack, and it's a nice compliment to the various salads and noodle-y things everyone else brought. I almost went for gazpacho soup, but due to a distinct lack of bowls around here, nixed that idea.

In further news, I finally figured out my voice mail a couple of days back. Turns out the instructions were, indeed, in the manual. On the second page. I just needed to calm down and take a second look while I wasn't running around town playing chauffeur/tour guide/good little daughter.

Anyway, here's the tzatziki recipe that's such a hit today:

1 large container of plain Yogurt (not the little bitty ones. You'll see it. And plain. Not flavored. Ick)
1 large Cucumber, peeled and chopped (or cuisinarted. And you can remove the seeds or not - I'm lazy, so not)
2 tsp Dill (or thereabouts. I sort of pour it into my palm and guesstimate)
2 cloves Garlic, crushed (or 1, or 3: to taste, really. I cheat and used pre-crushed garlic from TJs)

Stir. Refrigerate.

You can also add a dash of lemon juice or a dab of olive oil, but those are optional: make it taste good to you.

It's very cool-tasting, excellent for summer.
