(no subject)

I suppose it's August already. I sort of missed it, what with the hectic scramble here at work to patch our computers, or if they've already got the RPC worm, to reload them. I almost cried, but then decided to laugh, when I realized that all eight resident machines, that we'd just reloaded a month back, were infected. Fortunately, my indifference to the residents' plight kicked in; and really: shit like this ensures job security.

I'd like to give into apathy right about now. I've been running around all day, patching machines, and upgrading this one iMac to OSX (a mistake - I tell ya- it could have waited a couple weeks until I had time again.) About an hour and a half ago, I needed a nap. I'm glad I'm just having dinner with Dru and his girl - I don't think I could have handled a half a dozen rowdy gamers tonight. 'You kill things. No, wait. You die! Ahahahaha!' Wouldn't have gone over well.
