My brother is in the middle of a sneaky takeover of my computer. It seems he's gotten himself addicted to the Time Suck that is Pharoah, and he weasels his way onto my computer while I'm at work. And when I come home. And on the weekends, as soon as I'm distracted by house stuff. In between distractions, as I was calling Kasha about gaming tomorrow, he suggested lunch at this burrito place, and I quote: "Somewhere in Greenwood."

I got dressed, Kasha came over, and we set out. After half an hour of wandering in and around Green Lake and Greenwood with absolutely no success, because he'd only ever been there as a passenger, and knew that it had 'Burrito in the name,' Kasha and I finally vetoed the burritos and decided on Dim Sum instead. We were almost to the International District when one of Dru's friends finally called him back with the name and location. (Which we'd passed twice, even.) I promised him burritos tomorrow instead.

After lunch, I got to show off my condo to them both: we scrambled behind some bushes, and peeked in the windows, and checked out the pool and cabana (sadly, sans cabana boys.) My memory had been shrinking it a bit, so it was surprisingly refreshing to have it be bigger. I've got a measuring tape for the inspection Monday.

When we got home, Dru dragged up my comics from the basement, and with that distraction, comandeered my computer for almost the entirety of the day while I sat and had Kasha entertain me while I sorted through four years of collecting comics and cataloged them all so I could sell them. I'm of a mind to offer them to interested slashers for the cost of postage, otherwise, I'll try and sell them locally. I'll try and post a list of what I've got (nicely hidden behind a cut-tag to save the uninterested from the otherwise mind-numbing detail) tomorrow after gaming: I've managed to make quite the inroad in the boxes, and I'm about two-thirds done.

Most of what I've got is DC: I started with Elfquest and Wonderwoman, and through various crossovers stumbled into most of the Batman titles and the groups ([livejournal.com profile] cereta, if you want Titans, I've got a boxful) Very scattered Superman: I've got room in my head for one main canon and some AUs - that part of my brain was taken over by Lois&Clark. Some comics I'll be keeping: All my Elfquest, of course, the early Wonder Womans for the sweep of mythology after th 88 reboot, for another instance, but the majority will find its way out of my hands one way or another.

I did take a break to run down and pick up my condo's resale certificate, which is a hefty pile of documentation. Whuff. And I got lots of mortgage-y things in the mail, which I will have to read and sign and attempt not to break my hand in the doing thereof.

Oh yeah, and Eddie and pizza. And helping polish Lucy's new character for tomorrow.

Oh, sweet baby Jesus in a teeter-totter crib.

My brain, clearly, has been affected by five or six hours on my living room floor, counting comics and occasionally trilling out 'FA-bulous!' to Kasha and showing her Amazingly Gay Pants on Amazing Gay Superheroes. (And I don't even have a single issue of the Authority. (A situation which must be remedied, in the form of a lovely thing called Trade Paperbacks.(Maybe sell my Preacher Trades.)))

Either that, or I've found the Fabulous Crossovers of Doom.

Harry Potter and the Improbable Use of Chaos Theory - A Discworld crossover, if you can believe it, and one that's so very true to Pratchett, if a little less howlingly funny than the Great Pratchett, is still howlingly funny.

Top that off with Stupid Portal, which is Buffy/Star Trek: Next Gen, with just the right touch of wacky and humor for Buffy, if a little light on the Trek technobabble and shady on the 'magic works now, eh' side.

Oh yeah, and add a Stargate/Sentinel called Lovely, which works in the broad, even though I've paid zip attention to Stargate after the first season, and haven't watched Sentinel in a coon's age, so I'm iffy about working in the detail.

I've read a crossover - Harry Potter/Sandman with a mention of Pratchett, where Hermione stumbles into Dream's Library, through the means by which all Libraries are connected. Mom suggested painting a strip around the periphery of my ceiling (my new ceiling) in the living room which will become my library and painting up a favorite saying or three, much in the manner of traditional libraries. Does this mean I might eventually sit down with an orangutan and Madame Pince for tea one day?

Clearly, my brain has ceased working sometime in the last hours of my reading splurge. Off to bed with me!
