In other news

The condo closed on schedule today - Grandpa managed to remember to dig through his desk for the wire form, and that all got put through, and I got the keys in my hot little hands right around 3 today. Haven't moved anything, because of the association regs, but that's all for tomorrow. I'm getting up at ass-o'clock to start in on the furniture, and we'll see how far Dru and I get on the boxes. Anything left over can go on Saturday.

We did another Goodwill/RePC run today: got rid of another desk, some random crap and my ancient Apple laser printer. I'm done enough with the packing - what's left is the last minute clothes-on-my-back sort of stuff.

My cousin had her baby today a little after noon, after 44 hours of labor. Whuff! 8 1/2 pound baby boy, and since they waited to find out the gender, they're gonna take a little to figure out the name. First kid in the new generation. She wins!

I had fun wandering around Home Depot. Got paint chips, and looked at all sorts of improvements. I need to take a look at some specifics, like more measurements, and what exactly I've got for thermostats, but I'm excited about it all. If/when Dru gets a job and pays me rent before he moves into his own place, I can afford more for house-stuff. (or computers. mmmm...iPod...)

I think I want to paint the dining room a sunny yellow. And have a lemon tree. Or maybe a lime.

And a newer, deeper bathtub. With jets.

Nifty closet things are a must - wire shelves and two-tier racks for pants and shirts. With mirrored doors in the bedroom.
