Addictions
Mar. 5th, 2004 03:47 pmI toted two bags of old gaming books up to Twice Sold Tales today at lunch. All my White Wolf and a few odd D&D books I've got in duplicate for some reason. I tossed some Dave Duncan in there, as he vexes me, six paperbacks all told. I had the choice of cash or store credit (for more) and, knowing myself too well, I took cash, lest I spend the entire wad of credit right then and there.
$54.50.
Not five minutes later I spent $15 on books just down the street. I couldn't help it really, 60% off Going-Out of Business sale? Could anyone resist such siren temptations? And two first editions from my want list!
I confessed all to my brother, and he laughed at me, but really, there are worse addictions.
Tomorrow I'm going to bag seeds with Lettuce Link and then hit Costco with Dru. Sometime I'd like to see Hidalgo, but it might not be this weekend, as I need to spend a smidge of time in my p-patch.
