It was a lovely ride this morning, blue sky, white clouds, just cool enough to be comfortable.

And then I got to work. And realized that it's Spring Break. The IMA doesn't open until 11.

My morning shower was on the other side of a locked door.

I changed in the bathrooms here at work, and refrained from telling one gal, in response to 'How are you?' that I was rather stinky, and would remain so until I skive off for an early lunch.

Saturday was brilliant. I slept in, and by the time I was feeling up to doing anything, I noticed that Kris was back from her morning errands and doing something sticky with a mango. She'd promised me some mix cds a few weeks back, and I thought I'd walk down, pick them up, and then grab my bike that I'd left at work on Friday.

Hee. I was maybe halfway to Kris' place, and a pack of cyclists passed me just as I was taking off my jacket. The front man chanted 'More layers!' a few times before zooming out of sight. It took me a few seconds to realize that yes, it was me he was referring to, and it was a compliment. Still! Ego stroke! Wanted to shout back 'You first!' but alas, it was a hit-and-run comment.

Got back in time for a spot of salad before running off to gaming. We cleared out an elven ruin near Myth Drannor, and Ite and her wee followers are dusting it off and settling back in. She's an odd sort of elf, so she's called in some dwarves for stonework and to survey the area for possible drow-incursion routes. I'm also trying to figure out what she was doing for 5 months in Cormyr right before they hit the ruin.

Sunday was a battle of wills between me and my laziness. I think I finally won, but it was a hard battle. I had an attack of self-consciousness when I thought to do a spot of planting in my p-patch, as the people in all of the surrounding patches were there. I should be able to get a few things in tonight before dark, so it's not a big deal.

Dru broke his leg whilst off skiing yesterday - nothing serious, it seems to be a simple fracture of the... the lower one on the side, I've already forgotten the name.

So my parents called, all concerned, and then of course, the conversation wandered, and Mom started talking art and decoration. I've got the gap of the Shakespeare poster Dru finally reclaimed from me after three years, and most of my bedroom walls are blandly blank. So, yes framed Mom-art in the hallway would be fabulous, but how do I tell her I want large expanses of naked men on my bedroom walls?

'Cause she's good - she's an awesome artist, but naked boys just aren't her thing.

Dammit.
